A man was arrested in Welwyn Garden City after officers seized suspected Class A drugs from his vehicle.

A man was stopped by police in his vehicle in Thistle Grove yesterday (Wednesday, October 17).

Mobile phones, £300 and suspected Class A drugs crack cocaine and heroin were found and seized by officers.

• Zamir Akram, 21, of Kent Street, London, has been charged with two counts of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

He is due to appear at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (October 19).

Akram remains in police custody at this time.
