Man charged with arson after 39 vehicles damaged during fire in South Mimms

A man has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life after police found "a number of vehicles" on fire in South Mimms.
Officers are investigating the suspected arson attack at Lantern Recovery Compound, at Bignells Corner, at 3.55am on Sunday, November 6.
A spokeswoman said: “Police attended the scene alongside Herts Fire and Rescue Service and found a number of vehicles were alight.
“The fire service put the fire out at around 5am and police are currently treating the fire as suspicious. No one was injured.”
She confirmed that 39 vehicles had been damaged in the attack.
She asked anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and saw anything suspicious to call Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference number J1/16/4166.
Jack Healy, 21, of Ashwood Drive, Chesham, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life. He is due to appear at Hatfield Remand Court this morning.
