Police were called to Welwyn Garden City's Howard Centre today


A man was arrested following an incident this morning in Welwyn Garden City’s Topshop.

A police spokeswoman confirmed officers were called to the Howard Centre store at around 11.37am, before a man was detained when it was suspected he had purchased items fraudulently.

The man, who is aged 22 and from Coventry, was arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation and taken into police custody.
