POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious car crash in WGC during the early hours of this morning (Thursday).
The collision, at just after midnight, involved a red car and a female pedestrian on the Black Fan Road, close to Morrisons supermarket.
The pedestrian, a 28-year-old woman from Hatfield, was taken to the QE2 Hospital, where she is in a critical condition.
Pc Kevin Sloan from Herts Police road crash investigation unit said: “A full investigation to determine the circumstances of this collision is underway.
“If you were in the area and believe you may have seen the collision, please contact police at the earliest opportunity.”

* A 29-year-old man of no fixed abode has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at an accident.
He is in police custody at this time.
