A 32-YEAR-OLD man has pleaded guilty to a ram-raid on a Welwyn Garden City designer store.

Mark Young, of Haldens, appeared at Hatfield Remand Court yesterday (Wednesday) after Tabrizi, in Wigmores North, was targeted on Monday night.

Nothing is believed to have been taken, but an estimated £15,000 to £20,000 worth of damage was caused to the store.

He admitted burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving with no insurance, and failing to stop for police.

Young has been remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced at St Albans Crown Court on July 24.
