A MAN appeared in court yesterday charged with the murder of a dad-of-four who was found headless and handless.

Mark Curran, 28, of Mill Bridge, Dollis Valley Way, Barnet, was remanded in custody by Hemel Hempstead magistrates.

Traveller John Finney's body was found in Ickleford, near Hitchin, on Friday, March 14.

He had not seen since disappearing from his Mitsubishi 4x4, at Park Farm, Northaw, on Friday, February 29.

Detectives from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit revealed three men were arrested on Thursday.

Two other men, a 59-year-old man from North London and a 22-year-old man from North London, were arrested on suspicion of murder.

They were detained under a European arrest warrant in Spain and are currently being held there in police custody.
