NEXT week’s Christmas lights switch-on at the Galleria should descend into Madness.

For Suggs, the ska band’s frontman, has today (Monday) been confirmed as the celebrity who will be turning on the Hatfield outlet centre’s festive lights.

Suggs will not be the only member of Madness at the big switch-on, next Thursday, November 10.

For saxophonist Lee Thompson will be bringing his side project, the Lee Thompson Ska Orchestra, an 11-piece band which also includes Madness bass player Mark Bedford.

There will also be performances from Welwyn Garden City-based Rock Choir and the Top Hat Glee Choir.
