M25 remains closed after lorry fire near Potters Bar

The clockwise carriageway of the M25 remains closed after a lorry burst into flames near Potters Bar this morning (Tuesday).

Herts police has told the Welwyn Hatfield Times the motorway is still shut between junctions 23 and 24, after the HGV caught alight at around 8.47am.

A spokeswoman for the force said she understood crews were still at the scene three hours later.

No-one is believed to have been hurt in the fire.
