A crash on the M25 this morning has caused eight miles of congestion near Potters Bar and South Mimms.

A HGV struck the wall of a tunnel on the clockwise carriageway near Junction 25 for Enfield, resulting in traffic tailing back to Junction 23 (South Mimms).

Two lanes have been closed to allow Hertfordshire Police to investigate, and a Highways England spokesman advised motorists to allow extra time for their journeys.
