ONE of the best female British soul singers of recent years, Heather Small, will be appearing at The Alban Arena this Thursday.
Best known for fronting the successful 90s band M People, Heather will be on at the St Albans theatre from 7.30pm.
The star's career has spanned over 17 years with M People hits including One Night In Heaven, Moving On Up and Search For The Hero to name but a few, and also as a solo artist with Proud.
The song Proud was the unofficial song for Team GB in 2004 and is the official anthem to the London games in 2012.

Last year, Heather also appeared in BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, partnering up with Brian Fortuna and dancing her way through to the 8th week before being voted off.
