Prospective fatherhood has saved a Hatfield man’s life by revealing his serious smoking-related illness and enabling him to get treatment.

For the first six months of their marriage, Lisa Jones, 28, concealed her concern at her husband Roberto’s 40-a-day cigarette habit, but once they discussed having children she begged him to stop.
