On Tuesday, April 27, Sir Frederic Osborn School welcomed the Lord Lieutenant Robert Voss CBE for a school tour and to meet a selection of pupils.

Mr Voss was invited to present the school’s new head girl Megan Nicholson, head boy Satvika Sinha and deputies Cinzia Billson and Nathan Hill with their badges of office.

He asked them about their views on the future changes when the school becomes the new Ridgeway Academy in September 2018.

Mr Voss also spoke to Jake Leese, a Year 8 pupil, about his work in supporting the library. He chatted to Regan Carolan in Year 12, who is responsible for the school’s very successful Sports Leaders Programme.

Mr Voss said: “I was thrilled to see how engaged both staff and students are in providing an exciting environment in which to learn.”
