A COACH from a Hatfield club will have one of the best seats in the house when the diving competition begins at the London 2012 Olympics.

Chris Sage, whose daughter Hayley competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, is Great Britain’s sole diving judge, and will be presiding over the likes of Team GB gold medal prospect Tom Daley in the Aquatics Centre.

Chris has been coaching at the Beaumont Diving Academy based at the Hatfield pool for 16 years.

There’s just one day to go until the Olympics, while the diving competition starts in earnest on Sunday.
