A Potters Bar school has handed over cheques totalling £16,000 to be split between three charities.

Head boys from Lochinver House School presented cheques to the three charities that the school has been fundraising for throughout the year.

The money will be equally split between Dementia UK, Diabetes UK and Macmillan.

The amount was accumulated through a variety of fundraising events including, the tuck shop, the Coin Mosaic Challenge, a charity football tournament, the Easter bazaar, The Lochinver v Stormont parent’s golf and tennis events and a summer fete.

Mums also raised cash by taking part in the Monopoly Board Walk in London.

Throughout the year at concerts, plays and performances there were also collections on the doors.

In their speech during the cheque presentations, the head boys thanked all of those who had supported events and donated money over the year.
