Archant

Lister A&E is continuing to advise people to go elsewhere after a high number of patients.

The hospital has asked patients to go to the Urgent Care Centre at the New QEII Hospital in Welwyn Garden City, to avoid long waits for adults with minor injuries and illnesses.

In a statement released by the hospital, patients who are unsure about the status of their condition should call the NHS on 111 to find out which is the best service to go to locally.

Lister A&E previously redirected patients to the New QEII on January 26, before reopening on January 27.
