MODEL Lisa Snowdon could only finish third in the final of Strictly Come Dancing last night (Saturday).

Holby City star Tom Chambers waltzed off with the Strictly trophy with professional partner Camilla Dallerup, despite being the worst dancer on the judges' leaderboard.

Former S Club singer Rachel Stevens was runner-up with Italian dancer Vincent Simone.

Despite a perfect foxtrot and a dazzling cha cha cha in the first live show on BBC1 and scoring a maximum 80 out of 80 from the four judges, TV presenter Lisa and Brendan Cole failed to win over the public.

The ballroom beauty from WGC was the first of the three finalists to be eliminated on the results show later in the evening after the viewers' votes had been added to the judges' marks.

That left Tom and Rachel to battle it out for the Strictly Glitterball won last year by WGC singer Alesha Dixon.

The scores were then wiped clean and the phone lines reopened and the actor was eventually crowned king of the dancefloor by the public after a stunning showdance.

Chambers was lucky to even be in the final after the previous week's voting fiasco.

He was then again bottom of the judges' leaderboard and would almost certainly have lost any dance-off.

But a BBC blunder resulted in the Holby doctor being given a bye through to the final, along with the other two couples.
