Ceremonies to remember loved ones who will not be here this Christmas are being held in Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City.

The Isabel Hospice will be holding its annual Lights of Love ceremonies, with lights on trees symbolising a loved one being remembered.

Hatfield’s ceremony, at The Galleria shopping centre, will be held today (Saturday, November 15), from 4pm.

And the Welwyn Garden City event, in The Campus, will be on Saturday, November 22, at 4pm.

Jan Palfreman will be remembering her husband Frederick at the WGC ceremony.

She said “The Lights of Love play a very important part in the Christmas celebrations for those who have lost loved ones.

“It’s a way of remembering and sending our love to those who meant a lot to us and see no more.

“It is also a way of thanking the Isabel Hospice nurses for their invaluable dedication and guidance.”
