VITAL football equipment including goals, training poles and cones have been donated to a village youth team.
Cllr Caron Juggins mayor of Hatfield Town Council was at a training session with the Lemsford Youth FC Development Squad to hand out the goods.
Team manager Neill Hughes, said: “Having left her boots in the office the mayor couldn’t work on her Bergkamp turn but spent time instead meeting the boys and girls and presenting the club with vital equipment to help the work they do in the community.”
The FA Charter standard club, runs The Development Squad for youngsters aged five to seven, at the Ottway Walk pitches, in Welwyn.
In total it has teams from Under-6s to Under-16s.
To take part or for more information give Neill a call on 07890991149.
