A Stanborough lake that was closed after potentially harmful algae was found has reopened.

The south lake in Stanborough Park, Welwyn Garden City, was closed earlier this month after blue-green algae, also known as cyanobacteria, was discovered.

Operator Finesse Leisure had subsequently cancelled or moved all water-based activities other than fishing, but a borough council spokeswoman said the lake has reopened and all activities are back to normal.
