DEFEATED Labour candidate Mike Hobday has said he is “touched” by the number of people who voted for him - but that he will have to think about his future.
“I’m genuinly touched by the trust so many have placed in me,” Mr Hobday said, after finishing second in the Welwyn Hatfield seat with 10, 471 votes.
Asked if he will represent Labour in Welwyn Hatfield at the next election, he said: “I’ll have to go home and think about that.”
His wife Jane added: “There’s plenty of decorating that needs doing! He needs to spend more time with his grandchild.”
