Ward councillor Pankit Shah was also invited along to the special occasion, which included a specially decorated cake,

The church was originally established in November 2006 and following numerous struggles to find the right venue, the group eventually settled in Hatfield about two years ago.

Cllr Shah said: “The church is actively offering support for the local community.

“Members not only offer church services but also projects to support local organisations, including training courses for our residents.

“The church currently have about 90 to 100 active members who are worshipping.”

Pastor Femi Oludare, who is in charge of church, said: “The church has also helped in accommodating HARCO (the care and resettlement of offenders) along with Welwyn Hatfield Council and Dacorum CVS’s ESOL Course (English for Speakers of Other Languages).”

The church is also planning to support local residents by providing a drop-in cafe and music workshops for young people in near future.
