There is plenty of fun to be at Kimpton May Festival today (Saturday) as the High Street procession takes place.

The procession will assemble at the Western End of High street (east of the Luton Road junction) at noon and start moving along the High Street at 12.30pm.

It will arrive at the Recreation Ground at 1pm, where the fancy dress will be judged and the May Queen will be crowned.

Arena events will start from 1.45pm and these include maypole dancing, tug-of-war, robot comedy and music from the Romford Drum and Trumpet Corps.

From 11am to 5pm, there will be a craft market at Kimpton School.

An art show will take place at Kimpton Parish Church from 11am to 5pm.

There will also be plenty of other events going on around the village, including music, song, dance and comedy in the Memorial hall from 7pm to 7.30pm.
