PLANS to build up to 10,000 homes on green belt land in Welwyn Hatfield have been defeated.
Sitting in the High Court yesterday (Wednesday), Mr Justice Mitting threw out the government's proposals under the East of England Plan.
The court case arose following a legal challenge to the plan by both Hertfordshire County Council and St Albans District Council.
