A Hatfield man has been jailed after committing his third offence of drink driving in 10 years.

Jerry Vangu, 34, was jailed for 10 weeks when he appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on April 6.

He admitted drink driving on the M25 on November 5, driving while disqualified and without insurance.

Vangu, of Willow Way, had been driving a green Daewoo Matiz when he was caught at Junction 22.

He had 121 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

The legal limit is 80 milligrammes.

Vangu was jailed for 10 weeks and banned from driving for four years.

The court heard how it was his third drink driving offence in 10 years.

It was also noted that he had deceived a friend to obtain the vehicle and there had been a collision on the motorway.

Vangu was ordered to pay victim services £115.

He must also pay £85 court costs.
