A WOMAN was rushed to hospital this morning (Tuesday) after her car was in collision with a tree alongside the A1(M). The 27-year-old's blue Mazda left the northbound carriageway a mile and a half north of junction one for South Mimms just before 8am. Four fire crews attended and the woman had to

A WOMAN was rushed to hospital this morning (Tuesday) after her car was in collision with a tree alongside the A1(M).

The 27-year-old's blue Mazda left the northbound carriageway a mile and a half north of junction one for South Mimms just before 8am.

Four fire crews attended and the woman had to be cut from her vehicle, before being taken to the QE2 Hospital in WGC with back and neck injuries.

The accident is currently causing long tailbacks onto the M25 at J23.
