Police have transferred a man to the UK Border Agency after arresting him on suspicion of immigration offences in Welwyn Garden City.

A Herts Police spokeswoman told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “Officers stopped and searched a man in Homestead Lane, Welwyn Garden City, on Thursday, August 23.

“He was found with a small amount of drugs and received a caution.

“The man, aged 31 and living Welwyn Garden City, was arrested on suspicion of immigration offences and transferred to the UK Border Agency.”
