A charity fun dog show and fete will be taking place in Potters Bar.
The event will be held at Potters Bar Cricket Club in The Walk on Sunday, October 2.
Lisa White, who has been organising the shows for nine years, said: “We raised £3,000 last time, which went out to so many different dog and cat rescues.
“Each time we do it, we try to help four to five rescues.
“Last year it was heaving and we had about 400 people turn up.
“It’s a brilliant day, a really good day out and a nice friendly dog show.
“There are lots of rescues attending on the day with their stalls.”
The gates open at noon with registration taking place from 12.30pm and the dog show itself starting at 1.30pm.
Whether your dog is big, small, young or old, there is a class for them.
The categories include handsomest dog, best veteran, prettiest bitch, best junior handler, best crossbreed, a puppy class, waggiest tail, best rescue and most beautiful eyes.
The fee is £2 per class with rosettes for those in first to sixth place.
If you come first in a class, you are eligible to compete for the best in show title.
Although dogs will be the stars of the show, there are also going to be plenty of other attractions for their two-legged friends, including a bottle tombola, cake stand, refreshments, burgers and vegan food.
