Potters Bar fire station held its annual open day in a bid to raise fire safety awareness at the weekend.
Firefighters were joined by residents for the family fun day on Saturday, September 9, from 10am until 4pm at the station in Mutton Lane.
The day was enjoyed by all as adults and children watched fire displays and a live owl show.
For children there was a bouncy castle, funfair, petting zoo, karaoke, sports activities and craft workshops.
Food and drink were also available on the day.
Cinderella made an appearance and had photos taken with the children and firefighters.
The purpose of the open day was to raise fire safety awareness and for the community to visit their local fire station and meet the crew.
Crew commander John Wordsworth said: “It went really well and was very popular.
“I’d say about 300 people came and visited throughout the day.
“The children loved the appliances and there was a lot to do for everyone.”
The money raised during the day for The Firefighters Charity, which helps firefighters who are injured, ill or in need of psychological support, is still being counted.
