DISRUPTION was caused to hundreds of people after they were left without power last night (Monday).
A total of 1,548 residents in WGC were affected by the power cut at around 11.30pm.
EDF Energy Networks said the interruptions were due to a "fault developing on a high voltage underground cable".
A spokeswoman added: "Engineers restored power in stages, with all supplies restored by 12.30am today (Tuesday).
"We do appreciate how difficult it is to be without power and would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused.
