YOU can get actively involved in two main ways.

1. Become an East and North Herts NHS Foundation Trust member.

This is the area health chiefs want most people to sign up for. They are hoping thousands will join.

Ways members can help range from attending meetings and workshops to taking part in roadshows, surveys and consultations on plans for its services and future developments.

All trust employees will automatically become members unless they say otherwise.

2. Stand for election on the Council of Governors.

Governors are fundamental to the way FTs work.

While not involved in the day to day running of hospital services they will work closely with the board of directors; the body responsible for the management of the Trust.

Governors will include members of local authorities, staff members, representatives of other bodies including the university and members of the public.

There will be four governors from Welwyn Hatfield.
