RESIDENTS in Times Territory will pay an average of around £60 extra council tax this year. Bills will rise by between 4 and 4.5 per cent depending on where you live.

Those living in Hatfield face the biggest hike.

Band D property owners in the town see their bill increase by £61.47 to £1,470.17.

In WGC, homeowners see tax rise £56.43 to £1424.38 while Potters Bar residents bills go up by £58.73 to £1,373.37.

Meetings were held this week to set these final amounts.

The total council tax is made up of precepts from the county council, district and borough councils, police authority and town or parish councils where they exist.

Much of the bill payer's money will go towards services provided by the county council.
