Crews from Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City and St Albans extinguished a house fire in Hatfield.

The fire service was called at 8.18am today to a three-storey end of terrace house in Link Walk, where a fire had broken out in a top-floor bedroom.

All residents had left the multi-occupancy property before the crews arrived.

They were all accounted for and nobody was injured.

Firefighters put out the blaze using one hose reel and two sets of breathing apparatus. The fire was out by 8.53am.

It is thought to be an accidental fire, but the cause is unknown.
