A KNIFEPOINT robbery by a hoodie on New Year’s Eve is the subject of a police appeal for witnesses.
The terrifying mugging of a 17-year-old boy, in Welwyn Garden City, took place at about 10.45pm.
The victim was walking with two friends through a car park behind Waitrose in Gresley Close, when he was approached by the hooded knifeman.
He brandished the blade and demanded the boy hand over his belongings, taking his cigarettes and a mobile phone.
The robber then fled in the direction of the town centre.
He is described as a white man, around 6ft 1in tall, aged between 19 and 22, with short blond hair and wearing a dark hooded top and dark trousers.
