Golfers will be hoping for a good drive at a fundraising event which will raise money for a Welwyn Garden City-based charity.

The 10th annual HAD (Herts Action on Disability) golf day takes place on Friday, September 30, at Mid Herts Golf Club in Gustard Wood, near Wheathampstead.

And a new Mini Cooper is up for grabs as a hole-in-one prize

Supplied by Specialist Cars in Stevenage, the car sells for £23,000 but will go to the golfer who can claim an ‘ace’ at the par three second hole.

Other prizes are on offer at the four other par three holes on the course.

There’s an additional prize from Specialist Cars as Mini brand manager Ian Taylor said: “We’re offering golfers the chance to have the car for a weekend in the post-golf fundraising auction.”

Other items in the auction will include Wimbledon tennis tickets, football memorabilia and tickets, free games of golf and a holiday in France.

“We’re looking forward to a fantastic day of golf and fundraising and hope one of our golfers gets lucky and drives home with the Mini,” event organiser Paul Bishop said.
