HGV driver arrested for causing death by dangerous driving

A TRUCKER from Potters Bar has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The HGV driver was held by Sussex Police following the death of a 66-year-old woman in a crash in Hurst Green, East Sussex, yesterday (Thursday).

The 27-year-old man was bailed until September 20.

The victim was from Battle, in East Sussex.

She was driving a silver Suzuki Alto northbound on the A21 when her vehicle was in collision with two HGVs at 12.05pm.

The woman died at the scene.

The collision caused long delays in the area.
