Herts police car crashes in Welham Green

A POLICE car was involved in a car crash in which three people were taken to hospital last night (Monday).

The accident happened at around 7.15pm on Swanland Road in Welham Green.

Three people were taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage with minor injuries.

Hertfordshire Constabulary has this afternoon confirmed that one of its vehicles was involved in the collision.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called following a three vehicle road traffic collision which occurred shortly after 7pm on Monday October 1.

“The collision, which involved a police vehicle, a purple Rover and a grey BMW occurred on Swanland Road, Welham Green.

“A full investigation into the circumstances of the collision will now take place. “Three people received minor injuries in the collision and were taken to the Lister hospital.”
