A lorry and car involved in a crash on the M25 in Hertfordshire this morning have been recovered.

Highways England tweeted at about 8.20am: “A collision involving a HGV and a car has closed lane 1 on the M25 anti-clockwise between J24 and J23 #Hertfordshire.

“Our @HighwaysEAST #trafficofficers are on scene to deal with it.”

Highways England has since stated that the vehicles have been recovered, however there are still delays as traffic clears.

Queueing traffic had stretched back to Junction 25.
