Hertfordshire village hall rolls out the carpet

PUBLISHED: 06:15 18 October 2012

IT may not be a red carpet but it is still very important for Cuffley Hall.

County councillor Bill Storey has allocated £1,000 from his locality budget fund towards the cost of carpets for the hall in Maynards Place, much to the delight of its users.

The old carpet was beginning to look dated and the donation will help to revive the amenity, which is used by various groups and residents in and around Cuffley.

Cllr Storey said: “I am only too happy to donate money to Cuffley Hall for anything which may be beneficial to them.

“Apparently they need new carpets so I am glad to help.”
