A HOST of new attractions has been unveiled for this year's Hertfordshire Country Show.

Organised by the Hertfordshire Agricultural Society, the 2008 event promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Among new additions to the show, the county's premier event and supported by the WHT, are:

* Wedding marquee - From engagement to the honeymoon!

* Heart of England craftworkers marquee.

* 'Chefs on Stage' cookery demonstrations using local produce.

* The Basketmakers Association demonstrations.

In the grand ring, live entertainment includes an eagle and vulture show, The Royal British Legion Band and Corps of Drums, and (Sunday only) the 20-rider Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team.

The Stevenage Male Voice Choir, will celebrate its jubilee anniversary with a guest appearance in the All Human Circus Big Top on Sunday.

Show president Tim Hutchings said: "Having seen the full list of events and attractions, I am really excited and confident that the 122nd Hertfordshire County Show will be the best to date."

The 2008 County Show is on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25 at the showground, Redbourn.
