THE new president of the annual Hertfordshire County Show has been confirmed.
She is Caroline Tapster, chief executive of Hertfordshire County Council.
She said: "This is a great honour for me as in recent years the Hertfordshire County Show has deservedly grown in reputation as the showcase for promoting the best of Herts.
"I am looking forward to help celebrate and extend the high level of pride within our county during my presidential year.
"I am particularly excited that the county council will be exhibiting at the show this year, in a marquee jam-packed with information and fun activities for all the family.
"The show is a truly integral part of the Hertfordshire community and its influence reaches far beyond the two day annual show. By maintaining an extensive 'fun and farming education' programme for children, together with actively promoting Hertfordshire food products and services, the Hertfordshire Show is becoming an increasingly important part of life in the county."
