Thousands enjoy Herts County Show

More than 30,000 people enjoyed the 131st Hertfordshire County Show over the weekend.

Families headed to the Herts County Showground in Redbourn to see more than 300 trade exhibitions, prize-winning cattle, sheep, horses and international show jumping.

Show Secretary Mike Harman said: “It was yet another absolutely fantastic Hertfordshire County Show weekend.

“The feedback has been positive and complimentary from both visitors and trade exhibitors regarding the on-going improvements to both the show entertainment programme and the enhanced showground infrastructure.

“The friendly atmosphere and smiling faces both during the show and at the exit gates confirmed a very successful weekend.”

Birds of prey wowed audiences and the audience was in hysterics during the sheep shearing demonstration.

McMullen’s Brewery grey shire horses also attended and Kipperidge gundogs performed on both days.

Visitors were able to taste local food with an array of places to eat and drink including, Farmers Restaurant and Bar, the circus area food court, and Severn Valley Catering.
