THE full result of yesterday's election is now in from across Hertfordshire.
The Conservative party has overall control of the council, with the Liberal Democrats now the new official opposition.
The full breakdown is:
Conservative 55
Liberal Democrats 17
Labour 3
Green 1
BNP 1
The seven divisions in Welwyn Hatfield were recorded as six Conservative and one Liberal Democrat.
The Labour party lost two seats, both to the Conservative party.
