THE result for Handside and Peartree in the 2013 Hertfordshire County Council elections has declared.

THE result is in for the Handside and Peartree division.

Councillor Malcolm Cowan, Liberal Democrat, retained a comfortable majority.

The result was:

Malcolm Cowan (Liberal Democrats) 1380

Harry Bower (Conservative) 875

Steve Roberts (Labour) 600

Alex Baker (UK Independence Party) 426

Ian Nicholas Challoner Nendick (Green) 132

Bryan David Clare (Trade Unionists and Socialists Against Cuts) 28
