A primary school is set to hold a “wonderful” May fayre with a huge raffle.

Essendon CofE Primary School’s event will be on Sunday, May 20, between 11.30am and 3.30pm.

Organisers expect around 400 people to attend.

The highlight for many will be the raffle, with several luxurious prizes up for grabs such as a helicopter flight, overnight stay for two at The Hertford House Hotel and hundreds of pounds worth of vouchers.

A spokeswoman said the organisers are “super excited” about the event, adding they expect the draw to happen between 2pm and 3pm.

“On top of all of this we have our fabulous goodie bags to give out to the first 100 people through the gate,” she added.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a barbecue, bar, fun inflatables, craft stalls and much more.

There is also plenty for the youngsters to get their teeth into such as a bouncy castle, slide, maze, hamster balls and bungee trampolines.
