Heart screening event to take place

A GROUP founded to raise awareness of cardiac risk among young people is to stage a heart screening day in Codicote.

The event, which will be staged at Codicote Primary School on Saturday from 9am to 5pm, will give people aged between 14 and 35 to examine their heart.

It is organised by the Codicote Heart Action Team (CHAT), founded by Sarah Kingham, whose 13-year-old son James nearly died after suffering a cardiac arrest while playing tennis.

The examination is free but a donation of 10 is suggested.
