Head injuries suffered in Stanborough motorway collision

A man was taken to hospital with head injuries after a motorway smash near Welwyn Garden City last night.

After a three-vehicle collision on the northbound A1(M) near Stanborough Park at about 8.40pm, paramedics rushed to the scene.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “We sent an ambulance crew to assist and treated a man, believed to be in his 40s, for a head injury before taking him to Lister Hospital for further care.”
