THE owner of a historic pub and restaurant destroyed by fire is appealing to the public to help him restore his 14th century coaching inn.
Chris Gerard needs pictures of The Wellington pub in Welwyn before the huge blaze on June 23 in which the roof caved in.
Snaps of the roof will help return the High Street establishment to its former glory.
He said: "I'm determined to rebuild the roof complete with its curves, quirks and romance as quickly and as faithfully as possible."

Whoever provided the clearest photograph would be given a complimentary meal when the pub re-opens, Mr Gerard added.
