Hatfield worker’s Red Nose Day sponsored silence

STAFF at an outlet store did the “impossible” earlier this week by remaining silent for a whole day.

While some TK Maxx workers went the day without talking others raised funds taking part in a car bootsale, wearing pyjamas, wearing an Indian dress for a day or by doing a sponsored dance in the middle of the Galleria,

Rebecca Stevenson, a worker at the Hatfield store, said: “The support from the public was amazing and altogether we have made quite a bit of money.

“The event really showed teamwork in our store and also as a community and at the end of the day, we all had a fun time raising money for charity and it was also a bonus that some of our staff members actually managed to stay silent for a whole day which we thought was impossible!”
