Hatfield’s University of Hertfordshire has had its science building project nominated for a prestigious award.
The Audio Visual (AV) awards recognise excellence across the industry, and are open to any company involved across the globe, ranging from manufacturers of equipment or software to media production companies.
The university’s new science building has been designed to bring all of the facilities under one roof, and create a “state-of-the-art” teaching and laboratory space for students and staff.
The new £50million building houses laboratories, cutting-edge research technology and areas for informal learning and socialising.
Adam Harvey, the university’s solutions architect, said: “I am absolutely delighted that the science building has been announced as a finalist in the AV Awards Education Project of the Year category.
“It really is a testament to the hard work of the whole project team in delivering this innovative solution in our new science building.”
Winners for each category will be selected by a judging panel including key industry players, and will be announced at an awards ceremony at Grosvenor House Hotel in London on September 29, 2017.
