A 28-YEAR-OLD woman from Hatfield who stole three charity boxes has been hit with a community order.

Zara Hamilton, of Mabley House, admitted taking two boxes belonging to the Asda Tickled Pink Breast Cancer Charity on Friday, October 12.

It is not known how much cash was in the boxes.

On November 1, she struck again, stealing a Barnados charity box in Hatfield.

Magistrates in St Albans ordered Hamilton to take part in a 12 month drug rehabilitation course.

She was also told to pay £15 compensation to the Tickled Pink charity, and £4.60 to Barnados, and banned from entering Asda in Hatfield for a year.

At the hearing on Thursday, Hamilton was also sentenced for stealing nappies and three games consoles, worth £638, from Tesco in Borehamwood, which she was also banned from for 12 months.Hamilton was ordered to pay £230 in additional costs.
